A Little About Kim:
I’m a lifelong Nebraskan (5th generation, in fact!) and a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I’ve been in the early childhood profession for over 25 years, operating a state licensed family child care program during that time. In 1996, I was elected to the State Board of Education where I served District 1 for eight and a half years. I’ve been active in many professional organizations including Nebraska Family Child Care Association, the Nebraska Association for the Education of Young Children and served at the pleasure of Governor on the Early Childhood Interagency Coordinating Council. In 2015, I began participating in Nebraska’s Step Up To Quality QRIS project and was rated a Step 5 program in August of 2016. I’m the proud mom of five children, including an Airman in the United States Air Force. In my “free” time, I enjoy reading, sewing, scrapbooking and spending time with my family.
